TRULY MIRACULOUS – Luke 1:26-38

When the angel came to Mary and told her that she would soon give birth to a child, she asked the question, “How is that possible, since I am a virgin?” The angel explained to her that it would be a work of the Holy Spirit, that the power of God would overshadow her. And then he reminded her of a principle that is demonstrated all throughout scripture…

For nothing is impossible with God. (Luke 1:37)

Intellectually, we all know this to be true — that if God can create the universe, He can override the rules that govern the universe. He is not bound in time and space as we are. He has no limits. By definition, God is all powerful, or you could not call him God.

But Christmas reminds us of more than just the fact that God can do the impossible. It demonstrates to us the truth that God will do the impossible for his people, to accomplish His purpose.

During his ministry Jesus often reminded his followers of this principle: “All things are possible with God; with God, nothing is impossible.” This can be true in your life, too.

What seems impossible to you?

“It’s impossible that I could ever be forgiven.” No, it’s not impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God.

“It’s impossible that I could ever be happy.” No, it’s not impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God.

“It’s impossible that I could ever be successful.” No, it’s not impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God.

“It’s impossible that my marriage could ever be good again.” No, it’s not impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God.

“It’s impossible that I could ever find a good job.” No, it’s not impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God.

“It’s impossible that God could ever use me to make a difference in people’s lives.” No, it’s not impossible.
Nothing is impossible with God.

When you surrender to God, his plan comes to life in your life, he causes the details to fall into place, and the impossible becomes possible. That’s because nothing is impossible with God. It’s a Christmas miracle that works any time of the year, every day of your life.

Merry Christmas!
